festive weekend in philadelphia | WITH VIDEO

December 12, 2017

This weekend we spent lots of time cozy inside, but ventured out Friday afternoon and Saturday evening to get into the holiday spirit.

On Friday, I took the train to center city to meet Mark for some Christmas shopping at our favorite vintage shop: Retrospect Vintage. We were able to find some sweet gifts for a few people on our list. Beforehand, I spent some time wandering around the streets, waiting for Mark to finish up. I stumbled upon some sweet buildings and the most beautiful storefront full of Christmas ornaments. It made me want to start collecting Christmas ornaments. After shopping, we stopped in a restaurant to get some pho. Pho always hits the spot. I need more recommendations of places to eat in Philadelphia!

On Saturday, the snow was coming down. We ventured out into center city once again to check out the Christmas market and meet a friend for dinner. We walked around, freezing cold, enjoyed some mulled wine and cider.

We were so proud of ourselves for being adventurous and exploring the city, but made it home by 10pm to snuggle with Effie. This month is well underway, I can’t believe Christmas is less than two weeks away. I’m looking forward to going back to Pittsburgh to spend it with our family.

Oh, I filmed a vlog of our weekend! I’m getting back into the routine of doing this, I missed it!
